Kuku Mesfin

Kuku Mesfin is an international development and ESG professional with 15+ years of experience in strategy, monitoring and evaluation, and inclusive development across Africa, Europe and United States. She has worked with global consulting firms, leadership institutions, and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), advising on governance, inclusion, and data-driven accountability.

As a Manager for ESG Initiatives at the NYSE, she advances board-level governance efforts, conducts due-diligence and M&E-style assessments, and leads stakeholder engagement. Her work blends analytical rigor with strategic advisory and reflects her commitment to equity, transparency, and institutional integrity.

Previously, Kuku was Managing Director for ESG and Business Development at Global Imprint, where she led ESG strategy, expert recruitment, market research, and partnerships in emerging markets. She also served as Regional Director for East Africa at the Center for Creative Leadership, overseeing strategy, operations, and evaluation for leadership programs in youth development, gender equity, and institutional change, achieving sustained regional growth and expanded impact.

Kuku began her career at JaRco Consulting, leading M&E projects for DFID, WFP, Save the Children, and Irish Aid across health, education, and nutrition sectors experience that continues to shape her systems-thinking approach.

She holds an MSc in Development Studies from Birkbeck, University of London, a BSc (Hons) in International Politics from Brunel University.
